I don't know the circumstances behind that letter, but that wasn't an apology. "I'm sorry I lost my temper" is an apology. "I'm sorry you are an idiot" is not. That is all I intend to say on the matter. Take a few calming breaths, and do with the unasked-for advice what you will...

Never wear light colored clothes and be prepared to wash yourself a LOT. Aluminum oxidation gets everywhere. Not sure how it will hold up though.

some pics to get an idea of what you can do and some price ranges would help. Also, since you're new here, if there are any board members who you know, that can vouch for you it might help. People have shown up in the past, delivered on an order or two to get some word of mouth, then taken a bunch o...

Re: Looking for Shoes or Boots? VL is restocking

Ingvarr, I don't think we ordered any of the size 14's but will make it a point to do so and keep a few in stock as we are getting a few requests in. We do have a pair of Black size 15 Jorvik Viking shoes in stock that came from a cancelled order. If we were at an event where I could see what they ...

Not Combat Archery

I had a thought yesterday. If we are going to have missile weapons on the field, why not do it with some style. I don't see why something kind of like a nerf gun couldn't be developed for testing. It wouldn't be to difficult to get the velocity and force figured out so a spring loaded weapon would h...

I've never heard of one. There are definitely people who try to discourage the use of plastic, even if covered, but I've never heard of an organized movement to ban it.

$17

can get holes punched for $2

Or can get strapped for $15

can get a center crease for $20

But for basic, strapped, 17 + 15 = $32

Good point, although techincally, you could duct tape them on. Still, you can get them strapped for $32 a pair.

Re: BEGINNER reference pages

Going to reiterate that vambraces are not required, though typically recommended. Just had a thought as well, you might put together a sheet for each piece of armor, listing the requirements, and maybe some suppliers and price ranges. I still see the price you have for a kidney belt and elbows to be...

Re: BEGINNER reference pages

Im a lot less worried about $100 for a shield than $100 for either a kidney belt or elbow cops. As was mentioned, shade the cup, it's required. I would change "stabby tip" to "thrusting tip" if you are going to show it, but a thrusting tip isn't required. Also, not sure about Cai...

I like both posters. My advice would be to set up different contact email addresses for each poster info1 info2 etc. to help track which posters are most effective. Also, the picture is good, nice kit and all, but IMO, pictures of two people actually fighting would be more effective.

Re: My apology for before. Looking to start "warrior priest"

Probably for the same reason that everyone else who does it has. It's where his interests lie and it's what he likes. It's no less historical and a damn sight better looking than a lot of what's out there, especially when changes have been made to make it actually functional.
