You don't want a ring. What you want is a bone pendant. I didn't see one on his site in a quick look, but I've seen some that he's done and they are amazing. http://www.carvedinbone.com/index.htm

Re: Another top 5 list

3) Sir Bryce de Byram - yes it may be cheesy naming my own knight… but it is my list :) he has always been a great inspiration to me and continues to help guide me and mold me into a better knight. You couldn't be more wrong. If the knight you squired to doesn't make your top 5 list of inspiratio...

His Majesty Phelan is not KEM. It's really easy to sit back and give protest rationale for events that you will find excuses to skip anyway.

Hmm this sounds like someone that takes the rank of knight in the SCA too seriously.

I disagree with Raulin on two accounts. First, AB helmets are ass ugly things, but they are pretty damned bulletproof. Second, and not from first hand, from what I've been hearing here lately, you don't always get what you pay for.

I think it's probably unlikely because as far as I know, horns and wings on Viking helmets originated in the Victorian age. There is some VA artwork that the idea may have been based off of, but I'm not familiar with any period accounts of winged horny Vikings. It is a pretty interesting question th...

Would depend on how it happened. If you were throwing a combo and shot one throws them off balance, shot two pops them, that's different than if you are watching them for 30 seconds of exaggerated silent movie falling, then paste them. Also, while it doesn't really affect legality, I would look at i...

What this thread is telling me, though, is that many of the SCA chiv (there's a LOT) who post, read/lurk here either consider themselves blameless, or are else too wimpy to fess up to their more asinine moments. From a purely SCA standpoint Zubeydah was totally in the wrong. However, looking at it from the street level I can see why he reacted this way.
