Even with the chevron, that's a lot of green on red and black. Do you think it will make it through? Probably not without a German name and a lot of documentation. As to the coloration of proper, I have no idea what proper would be for a wyvern. It could well be green body/red belly like the dragon...

Calder, the odds of the coif, which was made to go over a bare head, fiting over a helmet and grill are pretty slim.

That would also explain why the "tunic" is coming out together with the maille in the representation at the bottom strip of the tapestry showing maille being taken from dead guys. Notice especially this one m For those of you who wear hauberks and know what it entails to take them off, if...

Seven threads in Classifieds selling items is far better than one OT thread in Classifieds complaining about them. At least they are in the right place.

Because too many people don't give a shit. Throw a tabard on over jeans and a t-shirt. It's an attempt. I'll spare you the 5 minute rant that is trying to force its way out, but there's the answer to your question.

Bar grills generally give better vision and airflow, closed face generally looks cooler. Beyond that, it really is personal preference. Most people have very little experience with wearing a big metal hat, so anything you wear is going to feel top heavy for a while. Your neck will strengthen and you...

You should read the marshal's handbook. Different bits on you require different amounts of protection and padding. All of the steel thickness requirements are "or equivalent" so hardened leather will work for a lot of it. Also, remember with mail that it can cover other things. And...welco...

You asked about sheet metal, wire is different. For that matter there is a difference in sheet metal by material type as well I believe. I think that all of the types of steel are fairly uniform, but there is a difference between aluminum and steel.

I don't remember who here is the strong proponent of it, but I'm currently using pipe insulation in my helmet. It absorbs shock really well but, coming in tubes, was kind of tricky to get installed well. I'm not sure that I will use it again next time I pad my helmet though.
