There may or may not be isn't any? Close enough for you? I assume that by period Norse you mean pre-mid-eleventh century Norse and are just avoiding VA. Heraldry the way we use it post dates that period although the Gokstad shields were painted the same which starts feeling like heraldry to me. Ther...

m Brain is shutting down for the night now so more on knotwork later if someone doesn't beat me to it. The short answer is that there is no one viking or one celtic style of knotwork. It depended on time, location and media. Viking stuff tended to go in for zoomorphics although there is quite a bit ...

I quit following the construction thread on these as I lost interest not really seeing the point. They came out awesome looking though. I am really impressed. I also want to take this opportunity to say that your work has improved amazingly since you've been here. You ran the gamut from some fairly ...

Prosperity - if people don't feel that they can afford a reign, they are less likely to fight Enthusiasm - Everyone goes through cycles of enthusiasm and lack thereof. If a person is burned out, they are probably less interested in reigning. Location - If the Tournament is held in an area with a den...

Am I a 'company' or am I a _____________? I'm thick skinned, you can be honest. For these purposes, I would classify you as a business. You make product to sell. You advertise the products you make to generate sales. Close enough for me. I personally think that it works fine as is but there are oth...

Looks pretty nice. I would worry about jabbing myself in the chest with the point on the grill but I do things like that. It looks like it might flare out enough to be a non issue. In the second pic, I wasn't thrilled by the curved top bar on the grill, but it looks nice in the third pic so I think ...

The biggest thing I see is you've got a habit of throwing a shot, and dropping your arm to your side while you are in range, moving backwards. Sir Savaric is the only one I saw throw at you at all when you did it. I'm guessing that it is a practice habit that you've all fallen into. They know you ar...

I would say don't get galvanized and don't galvanize it. Galvanized steel doesn't look like armor to me. I've seen steel recommended more then once, and it'll be painted, but what do you recommend? Steel by all means is fine, it the galvanized I don't like. Even painted it will give you a rough fin...

I responded but in keeping it short enough that attention spans don't factor in, there's too much gray area IMO. I have some chronic stuff that I think SCA probably played a factor in, some that predate SCA fighting for me but that SCA fighting aggrevates and some that SCA actually helps keep better.
