They now make a washing liquid labeled Orvus Quilt Wash that's essentially the same thing. I use this a lot with ...

Re: Rotary Cutter

the fingers should be attatched to the knuckle rider if you have one. doing so keeps the back of the gauntlet from being pushed up or pulled forward by the finger plates when you make a fist. Padding, all I can tell you is what I've done personally, which is to lay in loose layers of fulled wool be...

Re: 100% Linen Tunics for sale NEW
I need to make some extra cash for events (and new armour), so I'm selling 100% linen tunics to those who are interested. Tunic shown is made from high quality linen in a rich burgundy, trimmed with ginger linen. The color of this fabric is far nicer in person. Professional seams. Will make in two ...

Calontir. I started a contact group here in Fairfield, IA about a year ago. My husband, Llynewyn, and I are members of Sir Dirk's household, if that helps at all. Other than that I will have to see who I know that frequents the archive and get back to you. thank you for the info, I hope I didn't co...

The biggest pieces I can do are breast plates and cuisses. With the thicknesses of the pieces you're suggesting there's not a lot of chance of warping, but you might prefer to brace them just in case. Unless you're jousting or doing very high contact fighting you could probably get away with thinne...

If you have someone do them for you in the spring of your choice, though they cant temper, I could offer my services there, if needed. Out of curiousity, what style 16th C? here is what the armourer makes. http://i155.photo...
