That is why I was looking at that conical, it is based upon the Scandinavian Lavvu
Plus for the 16C there seems to be good evidence for the conical style

Shaul, If you can afford it, get one of these: m Snug with such a big family, but it should work. You can partition the tent to create private spaces.
