The neighbourhood sucks. But the Necropolis seemed in decent condition. Only thing that made me sad is that they were restoring the Oriflamme when I went so all there was is a photo of it. The Necropolis is restored. They'd dumped all of the tombs in some ditch somewhere. There's also a nice museum...

Do not eat on the Île de la Cité or Île St. Louis (though there's a good pub on the latter) or anywhere in the 6th. They are all tourist traps. You're better off going north towards the Marais, or along the Seine.
