More than likely though, it was attributed to particularly fierce warriors clad in the skins of strong animals such as bears to strike fear into the ene...

Yes,When I saw it back in 1981 it was in a skyscraper on Randolf street, I believe, seems like it was on the 12th floor. The Curator, a Mr. Letiger or Le Tiger? said that when Harding died he left a small fortune to keep the museum running. The place was open by appointment only. The admission was f...

Forgot to add, I've got a 48"chest. Its a little snug on me when I have it fully closed without gaps on the side or front. (I hate "gaposis") Might fit better on a 46" chest with a little room for padding.Could adjust down to a 44" chest I think easy.I noticed his price is listed as $725 now on the ...

I've decided to sell my Corazzina Breastplate from Valentine Armouries. Its The same as what he has pictured on his site, except the lung plates are 16 gauge mild steel.Red velvet. I purchased this about 2 years ago to fight in, but never could bring myself to do it. I knew the velvet covering wouldn...

I think that during the transitional period, 14th century, they would have worn an elbow or wrist length mail hauberk. I believe the arming doublets with patches of mail, date to the 15th century when the "all white" harness came into use. I may be wrong on this. Some armour from the last quarter of...

Wow, I'm impressed. I would have thought the 300 lb crossbow at point blank would have pierced the mail for sure,And I would have thought a good chance for peretration on the backplate with a good square hit at the right angle. You guys make good armour, good armour woiks! l see where different mail...

Are the rerebraces and vambraces seriously noticeably crappier than the rest of it? If so, then I am in desparate need of some remedial armouring tutoring. What is it precisely about them (and the pauldrons, for that matter) that you guys think needs work? Be honest. _________________ I've looked th...

Oddly, nobody has yet pointed out the inaccuracy that worries me most. What do you guys think of the backplate, upper and lower? Should I replace it or leave it as it is? I like the shaping and contours, do you mean the direction of the overlap on the lames overlaping from the bottom up? It does see...
