Looks good man! Now you need a nice armet. I thought it looked very homogenous for having 4 different fellows working on it. Very impressive, you may want to upgrade the rerebraces and vambraces someday, but I wouldnt be in a hurry. I think they look very nice. Not quite the level of workmanship as t...

I agree with flonzy, Swords with dulled edges and rounded tips are about the only "safe" weapons.Maces and polearms hit to stinken hard. You might try rubber heads, but believe it or not those rubber headed maces seem it hit harder than a steel sword. A rubber headed mace is the ONLY thing I ever fel...

Wow, this sounds like fun. I've wanted to see something like this for a long time. And I'm sure it can be done in a fairly safe manner. I've done SCA and used rebated swords "SCA style" with Murdoch full force(at least the same force used with rattan). Two handed swords at that! LOL. You DO have two...

Tuba said"SCA is bigger than the sum of its parts, just as any organization. Give to it what you will, and take from it what you will. I got one about a month ago. Great quality, well made. great arm movement.Too much padding in the arm for my arm harness. As the liner isnt quilted onto the outer shell,it should be easy for my wife to remove the liner from the arms, remove batting, resew liner. Cant play with it till xmas, overall i ...

Well, to be honest I care about what everyone thinks about me,on the "field" and off. Neighbors,co-workers ect. Of course II'm a heck of a nice guy,(really I am!)and it seems like most folks like me anyway. On the field, I'll try and give them an enjoyable combat, and gladly acknowledge the good blow...

man, I remember when he was selling these suits earlier. Alot of guys were slaming the looks of the armour big time. i tryed to defend him somewhat by saying it wasnt "that" bad for the money. Now hes posting pirated pics of nice harness, saying thats what you get. I'm pretty ticked off. This guy sh...

Arming Braies !
This summer I purchased some Spring steel leg harness from Jeffery Hedgecock at H.E. Finally got around to pointing them, so they can be worn.I dont have a pourpoint yet, cant seem to find them ready made online. I tried pointing them to a belt, which worked ok for standing and walking, but when I ben...

Thats a good price for leg harness of that quality. It may seem steep to some, but theres the old saying "You get what you pay for" Looks like an excellent value for the quality to me! Patrick, have you thought of trying to tackle medium carbon steel yet? Keep up the great work.Your research, dedica...

On second thought, considering how thin he can make some of the plates, it might be as light as 40-45 lbs. Most arm and leg plates are about 21 gauge, with 19 gauge cops. The 14th cent arms and legs he made me were 19 gauge throughout, because he ran out of the 21 gauge at the time, and weighed a tota...
