I'll have to agree with Konstantin, I dont own one, but I've heard nothing but good things about Trims swords.Another good sword maker is Chris Poor.You might be alot better off spending the extra $100 in the long run.Sword forum is a great place to ask questions about the various models..Otto

I heard some good things awhile back,about some Czech swords from Therion Arms.They sounded great and I think they were in that range.probably better than the Hanwei,and made in Europe to boot.But scabards cost extra....Otto

Well mine was waiting on me when I got back from my 4th of July holiday.Pretty good looking sword,a bit blade heavy.Could be balenced better,but I've seen worse.Well dulled edges,nice rounded tip.Leather seat between cross gaurd and blade.Pommel and cross guard appear to be nickel or chrome plated.L...

I'd like to get one, he's had them on the site for a month or two.Look pretty good to me.Not sure how well the foam would hold up,but it would be about as safe as you could get.And you can get replacements for the breakable part....Otto

The wire looks pretty round to me too. Seems like it should be flattened more.I think they did use round and oval wire though on occasion. Murdochs wife has made a one or two out of dyed linen canvas quilted with cotton,probably about 1/4" thick,I saw a red one the other night,it looked awesome,I think it was 6 piece construction,4 body qaurters and two arm pieces,nicley tailored.Cant remember if it had gussets or not..Otto

My opinion,and only that, is that the channel stuffing was reserved for areas that had to be padded more heavily, like helmet liners,possibly on the shoulders of the arming coat. But If it was to be your only defence, IE poor infantry,The whole thing might be stuffed in channels.Sound logical?...Otto

Its the ONLY shoe you can wear with a solleret LOL. I use them, no problems but in wet grass with slippery leather soles,Ive gone down a few times.They are pretty comfy.Otto

Looking good Otto!I think hes talking about the marks on the upper rear plate, near the edge of the upper front plate, like vertical hash marks.Lookes like the top could be a bit more rounded pehaps,I think that the proportions look good......Da other Otto
