Any acid cleaned armour I've ever seen looks like poo. It turns grey and looking like galvanized with pitting. I love linen, I think its cooler than cotton, so I'd recomend linen stuffed with linen. Its the next best thing to running nekkid! On second thought, Its actually cooler than running nekkid, as it keeps the sun off you. :wink:

If properly made they protect your fingers much better than you might think. plus you can do "things" while wearing them. Comfort, protection and mobility. I have a well made pair and they are amazing.

I've got a question. I have a 16 gauge hardened spring steel great helm from Mac. I'd like to drill four holes at the top of the crown for lacing a crest to. Can I use a punch to make some small dents, to help keep the drill bit from skipping? Or could it crack the helm? I dont want to take any chan...

They look great, well done. At this point, if you cant weld a piece on easily, but they are comfortable to wear, I'd probably just leave them as is. The greaves should overlap the sabatons. IE the bottoms of the greaves should flare out more and be a bit longer.

I used to sculpt, mold and make resin model kits. There were instances where my original model kits were bought, new molds were made, and recast copys sold. I quit making "garage kits" because of that. I'm not the only one it happened to. Counterfitting hits many hobbies.

It ended with no offers at all. :( Ahh well, I relisted it with no reserve. Bidding starts at one dollar. I hope it gets up to at least $2 before the auctions end.. This is kind of depressing. Maybe I should action off my shattered hopes and dreams....or my soul.. :wink:
