Cheval-
Well the way it was explained to me when I joined the SCA was that shortly after the death of Elizabeth, gunpowders' use on the battlefield became much more prevelant, which was the death-knell for the armoured knight.

If this is not so then so be it, its just the way it was explained to me.

Well I have always heard it said that we go up to the Death of Elizabeth which heralded the age chivalrous combat. Which is 1650 or so..
Not Exactly sure of the date.

Also to allow Early Cavalier for those that want to persue it as a persona.

Having trained several women fighters and having a very good friend who is an exceptional fighter that happens to be a woman... I would say that the occasional Ladies tourney is not a bad idea as it builds a community that has a commond bond, in this case being gender... however... the biggest hug I...

I dont think any one has to worry yet. I personally would rather pay 5 times that price, and wait twice as long for a piece from Alan Bauldtree or Steve Belden or White Moutain that I KNOW I will be happy with, and if I am not can call and say "could you fix this". Try doing that with a company in I...

The slats are 14 ga stainless and are fluted and are awesome. http://www.creative-net.net/~armour/bvik.html Also the "Bell factor", I am told, is much worse in helms that are mostly welded. I used this spray-on stuff for sound ...

That actually is a trillium, the symbol of Ealdormere.

It is also an intricate part of her personal badge.
I made her Tassets in the shape of them.

and, yes I am a VERY lucky man.
