Would you consider titanium, your excellency, or do you require a "leather-look" material? Jehan, squire of Sir Vitus I would not consider titainium....because from what I have seen it would be cost prohivative. If I could find the plates at the same cost as the Noble plates... I would consider it....

hmmmmmmmm.....

I only wear an under tunic and fighting tunic under my current kilbanion...

I am pretty put off that many think that I would require extra "armour" under my armour.

Is there? I am trying to work out body armour for Pennsic other than chainmaille...since I dont have any... that would work with a soup can knees roundel elbows and a round top great helm.... I have three different sets of lamellar body armour and could quickly configure one to work with this rig......

Been doing the Matt Furey workout....

got my wife to join me...

first thing that has bounced back is my legs.... but that wasnt surprising.
my legs have always been the strongest part of my body.

hope my abs and back have that same result in a few months

my first try , I found the exact same thing vitus....

I was thinking of trying fiberglass like Jehan was saying...but I think it will weigh too much


I cant go back to wood....

I paid 50 bucks for this blank and told my wife it was the last shield for quite some time!!!

any ideas for coating the canvas glued onto an aluminium shield to help it stay a bit more rip stop, yet still be paintable?
