This is a newbie question, but I just don't see how someone can hit you so much harder with a 12', more flexible spear than with a 9', more rigid spear. Sure, there's 3 extra feet of rattan mass into the blow, but the shaft will flex more... Am I looking at the physics wrong? Actually... If I remeb...

Berok, who posts here does some work in the Starleaf Gate Armourers Guild (SLAG for short) here in Windsor and makes some OUTSTANDING cup hilts ( I got one as a gift at Pennsic when I was King)
they are close to the best I have ever used

I normally use a center grip oval.... but I am trying a center grip heater as a Cav Shield in a Run and GUn unit.....

look at my pic on the who's who at Pennsic thread and look at my boots....

those are Addidas football Cleats covered by leather wrap boot glued to them.

they have ZERO effect on how my cleats perform and look far better than boots that are uncovered
