I dont know...I found that when I had my plates laced upwards that many thrusts caught on the plates. When I relaced it overlapped down, it shed thrusts much better.... and not ALL lamellar was laced up.....in all cultures around the globe. I will add my analysis to this..... If the average across the SCA is a standard 5 on a 1 - 10 scale I would say that in my experience the majority of Kingdoms I have fought are very close. I had a great time.... Tarquin and Conrad were there too.... The great thing about this scenario was that you had to regroup and attack the second bridge on the fly...but the BEST training from this scenario was when you a defender...... it made you really think about your stratgey, your weapons mix...
