Actually, as someone who has been King...I surrounded my self with a command staff who was best suited for the challenges I wanted to overcome...not by what tourneys they won... My War General *was* a Duke, but he is known much more for his war fighting tactics and melee sense than winning tourneys....

sword blocks and using your shield are a last line of defense...the best defense is good control of range and foot work...ie not being there. If you look at pictures of the earlier SCA, you will see they USED to allow Flail and Morningstar type weapons... I beleive that they were removed from use because of injuries

Gorm....when I shot siloflex arrows with baldar blunts on them out of a 50 lb bow and was unstoppable on the field....I killed with just about every shot. I think you may be mistaken.... the rules state a standard of rivits per inch depending on rivit size for the construction of the helmet, but they say nothing about attaching the grill any specific way...unless I missed something..

I had a friend buy a set of legs off ebay from Von Sussen Enterprises...is this you?

They would'nt even close to a 90 degree angle due to serious flaws in the articulation.

Even reworking the articulation didnt get them functional.

Is this common for Indian work or was this a fluke?
