Tuesday Practice starts at 7pm sharp...to around 11pm everyone warms up and then we start classes... there are betweent 5-7 Knights to help with about 20-25 fighters. For the first hour we do whatever class is on the agenda that day...foot work, sword shots, thrusting, shield work.... then we spend ...

Logan, as of now I am planning on being at Pennsic next year and I will make sure to plan on a visit. I have to say that all my experiences with Atlantians in Combat have been a pleasure to face. I have never had to "think" about being killed, I have had people take fair clean blows and actually TEL...

From a Lefty perspective.... When I see a fighter cross their shield over to protect thier right side....I immediately think: "yummy...fresh meat" DO NOT CROSS OVER! Crossing puts you in an unfamiliar position that is difficult to defend from and it opens the offside head, which is one of us evil le...

Sure...if you were a commoner.... we are not. Nobles had RULES to warfare... Men were put to death for accidentally killing a Noble during battles. The Knights sought each other out and rode down the "rabble" and common man because they werent worthy of Chivalrous Combat! I am not saying free for al...

what is the most needed peice of armour for a New Fighter? (
Ok....you are a new fighter...just authorized less than a year ago.... Besides the Helm, which is a hugely personal choice, what piece of armour is the most needed.... or would be most appreciated as a gift or prize. I am guessing if its a prize it needs to be very generic in time frame and persona....

I, for one, am very tired of the constant arguement for/against this. I feel the way I do....other feel the exact opposite. No one is gonna change their viewpoint. so.... Do whatever you want....I will do whatever I want, and I would suggest that others do the same. In situations where I feel the ev...

See....I could live with that too...if that is what it comes down to. If I have to supply an archer to shoot the other archers so I can actually make it up to the line to spear duel then I can completely equip them (I have extra stuff) and train them to the way I want an archer to perform on the fie...

your idea has a great deal of merit....although I personally still believe that C/A is unbalanced in our game...but from what we hear from Tessa....most of the issues that I personally have with it are in the process of being fixed or reviewed...so I may have to re-evaluate my current perceptions in...

Bart - That is a very well put, AND VERY PERIOD idea. A knight was expected to field men to serve the Crown....archers among them, were in service to many kinghts. It has merit. but would it work? How would the C/A community feel about having to be assigned or delegated to a particular Knight when t...

safety issues according to the Midrealm EM. If there was a catastrophic failure of the sword..the split ends would only be 3/4 of an inch each and could penetrate a bargrill. the only time I take a lighter blow is if I get caught with my proverbial pants down and get faked out of my shoes or someone lands a blow that was just amazing that they landed it. peasent may not be appropriate...but they werent of noble class. A common soldier was still just that...a commonnr. vikings, samurai, and Normans while perfectly acceptable personas ...unfortunately are NOT within the time frame for the Chivalric Ideals you speak of.
