It came in today. HOLY MOLY! it is PERFECT ! Worth far more than the $180 I paid for it. I little narrow for a European sword, but incredibly nimble for the size. If I may suggest, the latter approach is perhaps the best. I.e. a semi-custom knife, where you have the materials to make a decent, plausible period knife, ask for details and perhaps an illumination/documentation for the shape, and then you finish a blank like that, so it fits the persona and budge...
