Lucas, See me at practice tomorrow and I'll show you again the torso and shoulders I got from O'Quinn. It is awesome, super light and very protective. And in a pinch it does not look too bad uncovered. For legs Sir Corby's setup cannot be beat, but you need to use the same type of coverage on the le...

This thread is a perfect example why a bunch of people who are poorly read in a complicated historiographical problem should spend their time reading about the subject instead of argueing with other people who don't know enough to really help you to understand whats going on. I can't say anything about using felt, but I once used thin foam... to create the shapes you want, you could layer the foam up, and unlike felt, it won't absorb water and get heavy or moldy.... just a thought... Hm.... sounds like an excellent idea what type of thin foam did you use?. Pray tell me ...

Round plastic shields and a possible solution
Ok, I am about to test this one, but I thought I'd share my working theory. Many people like the idea of a dished, strapped round shield. Especially if you like Hoplite or late 15th century representations. The issue is that size and cost are a limitation. Our Tuchux cousins use to great effect the ...

copying art onto a shield
Greetings,
I just saw a great art motif that I was hoping to add to my new round shield:

How does a non-artist transfer this onto a form that can be passed onto a shield?
Thanks!

Once put it that way, I can surely agree with you; but I am not so sure the point was made as clearly before. Rowan I think I need another set of eyes on what I wrote. Because, in my mind; that the Spanish saw the natives of the new world as savages, He defined them as 'natural slaves'. Or it could...

True on most accounts. I will try to address what I meant in a silly rush on the other thread. First I am guilty of a cardinal sin of the Archive, which is allowing myself to take a thread in a completely different direction than originally meant. My apologies to the posters and original repliers fo...

That is whay you need a class 3 license to post.... Looking for helmet crest-box tutorial.
Well, I can no longer impose on busy people, so I am hoping that someone may have a decent tutorial on building a crest-box to attach a crest to a Corinthian helmet. I was able to find at our holiday faire (like a needle in a hay-stack) a very nice, brand new crest removed from an Indian helmet ( m ...

Leather boots? Soak them in water, then put on whatever socks you're going to use, and go hiking in them. They'll mold to your feet. Then let them dry, oil them well, and treat your blisters. But you'll have boots that fit like they were made for you. An additional trick from the French Foreign Leg...
