I understand some like the Hanwei products. But why in heavens would I get a company-made blade from Hanwei when I can ask Paul Binns to make me one easily MUCH better at a decent price and made by a craftsman? Because, while you may not it isn't all about you. What it's about is having options and...

Mattmaus,

That may be one of the best looking open faced sallets I have seen in a while.

You did a magnificent job on the grille... ON someone's face it should look almost like it is not there.

Nice Job. Really nice.

First Pennsic: How to pick the best fights?

Not even there yet and already in sensory overload... The list of fighting events boggles my ADD ladden mind... I need to pick my battles (quite literally) so as to keep staying power until the end (I am not 21 anymore!) , sleep enough to be able to fight and (silly me) even enjoy other aspects of P...

Yet again. :)

I mentioned Damon about a year ago. The guy is awesome. His stuff is made with attention to detail and obvious love for the art.

My torso armour was made by him as well as one of my cup hilts.

You can trust him completely. Him and his stuff are top notch.

Ya know, I LOVE the idea of getting this girls some armor but if she grows at all from year to year every piece is a temporary solution. Wade Allen has to build a new suit for his son yearly. (has to in the 'don't thrown me into the briarpatch' sort of way) The thing to do is to find someone who ha...

Freiman, If nobody sells them, they can be made from hardened leather, as some are made for Kendo shinai. As for premade katana, the issue is twofold: 1) using the right piece of rattan with the Sori (or curvature) the final user would want, 2) getting the skill to make the whole thing oval like a B...
