Re: What was your favorite Pennsic moment?
The entire Battle of Hastings. I have never in my life been the part of a battle where more nobility was shown, more honor was won, and more enjoyment was had by all the warriors. It's been an absolute joy to be a part of, these last two years. And this... At the very end of the very last field bat...

Re: A Pas d'Armes at Pennsic. Challenge letter
I understand that Earl Nigel did get in a pass with Glaukos and greatly enjoyed it. I was greatly honored by his visit and his condescending to cross arms with a mere man at arms. Also, I gained a new respect for the two handed sword, in the hands of a skillful fighter. Earl Nigel is a worthy caval...

I want to make sure we are all fair to Sir Angus. He tried, and supported this, but was advised he could not. He was also personally supportive and extremely corteous and polite when he was forced to stop it. discipline ought to be vsed says Fluellen, and the moment I heard that this was not feasibl...

I bought two at Pennsic. They're fabulous. I may give up basket hilts. My god..the balance is incredible. Have you ever held a weapon that just seemed to whisper "Hit something with me...no really...you want to"? I have two of them now. Havoc Used one randomly picked up at the Tuchux tour...

This year it was EVEN BETTER than last year. We were graced by many new gentles coming to join us and the improvement in the apperance of the kits was breathtaking. Again the Saxons cleaned our hourglasses, (I insist, we should bring horses next time) and I had a close and personal encounter with a ...

Ultralight armour and Norman leg wraps worked quite well in the woods this year. Though I left my leather water flask with the water bearers and never found it again... too much confusion and too many people.

I have told people often that all the problems I ever had in the SCA came down to the fact I thought the SCA was a game and most people in the SCA don't. Rule 62: Don't take yourself too seriously Max Von Halstern That's the rule the vast majority of Scadians need to learn. One of my biggest pet pe...

I thought that combat was prohibited everywhere except on the main battle fields/woods. -Cian It is.
