If you are not worried about heat retention... and you want a surcoat that will last forever... you may want to look into duck canvas. The thicker threads that make the weave give it an extremely medieval look, and the stuff can really take a beating. It also takes a long time to break down to a po...

Re: hi
Howdy, Nice knife and poker Cian. Id like a set of those too. Take care Pitbull Andy, He does not make them, he is just selling a set he owns. And in deference to you, you have have it, if Cian is still selling it... I did not really need it that much, just liked it... Cheers! Glaukos

This makes more and more sense all the time. It also explains Duke Paul's sword grip design, with a tapering toward the pinky and a widening toward the thumb/index area...and a pommel like disk at the bottom.... I need to try that grip as well... Thank you! Glaukos This is, unsurprisingly, quite li...

Yep, its an unfortunately good deal for someone else! I need the money more than the armour right now, and since I have not used it yet it gets to be someone else's gain. I have approximately 42'' waist, 46'' cheast and I am 5'11'' mostly athletic with a beer belly these days. It will fit a bigger ...

If you hold the sword mainly with your bottom two or three fingers, it will help the sword to act as an extension of your arm. Thank you Your Grace, So in your style that IS a bit a like a Japanese sword grip or holding a hammer... I will try this as well and look at the lanyard. In the past I have...

Keeping your sword wrist straight...
How do you? I noticed I lose a lot of body-generated energy by bending my wrist before impact instead of bringing the forearm and hand as a solid unit until impact. Blame Kendo training, or plain klutziness. How do you correct it if you DO turn your sword wrist. I have had some -very kind- advise on...

Ok, So I have not used it for a long time, and I need a folding camping cot to take the kids to events, so I am again offering my (used) Whitbread branded, clamp-on beer engine (meaning you can just use ANY table and it will become your portable pub. It is complete and in great running condition, bu...

Gerhard, you are a good guy. Don't worry, it was all about fun, not about serious academic writing.
