Gaston-I will see if I can get some pics. The solution I used is supposed to be a immersion type. I decided to just smear test it on a splint without even degreasing. It produced the desired effect so I just wiped them all rinsed them off and was done. They are not really dark but I didn't want them...

This stuff works great. They sell samples for around 40.00. I just did some spring stainless arm splints and it blued quicker and more evenly than gun bluing. They sell a degreaser as well.

I used a riveted aluminum shirt for one Pennsic and I'm not sure it would have made it through a second. It had serious holes and was shedding links by the end of the week. I ended up switching to Knut's welded stainless.
