The economic reality is that by the time you get custom glasses and a custom hat that they'll fit in, you're probably at the price point for Lasik these days.
Though I'd go with PRK, since there are fewer complications.

I got some from interstateplastics.com last year. They do precut sheets if you're only looking for a small amount. But there's a $50 minimum or you get spanked with a large processing fee. Ditto on using ABS. Unless you're looking to do intricate forming, it's just fine. Though I'd probably go an ex...

Josh, where are those illuminations from?
The betrayal scene is just effing disturbing. I'm interested in an artistic sense as well as an armoring sense... I mean they've turned Peter into some weirdo who gets his kicks mounting grown men and slicing their ears with razors.

Everyone gets screwed. There's a reason why. By day I'm a software developer. The big push recently is to make the company realize how long things take, and to have realistic expectations. There are now people hanging around who don't do anything "productive" - all they do is set schedules...

Things for you to reflect on. The couter must be deep enough to be able to hug your elbow when it's bent. The angle formed by top and bottom edges when viewed sideways must match the angle of your bent elbow. The sides must not be as tall as the top and bottom: the couter must taper to the sides. Fl...

Supposed to be holding a libation bowl and leaning on a spear. Good to know it's not the half-eaten corn dog that initially came to mind. A crease must then necessarily be made down the center line. Just some advice! Cheers! Extant pieces tend not to have center creases. It's by no means necessary. Regarding your question, I think if you charge less than $50 it should be because you haven't done any finish work. Even without the fini...

New to sca and i am lookin for a german style sallet Stop there, that's your first problem. I don't think "new to sca" and "sallet" belong in the same sentence, unless it's "I'm new to the sca and a guy with a German username advised that I not get a sallet". Speaking ...

I used a product called Fluid Film in the past, which was a spray-on-wipe-off-excess type of thing. It doesn't smell bad, and if you're not fighting in it it basically won't rust ever. I've used motor oil before, it's not bad but upkeep is pretty regular. I'm on paste wax now. Actually what I do is ...

OK, so I guess what I am saying is how do you take a piece of armour from its rough state to a finished state (shiny polished or satin finish)? What tools, processes, etc. do you use? Yeah, thing is, I was serious about just using the wire brush. It depends on the initial finish you're talking abou...

Step 1: put the wire wheel on the grinder.
Step 2: brush it until it doesn't shine.

The knees are unmistakably from Iron Castle Armory. I was one of the last ones fortunate enough to have bought a pair as a new fighter in 1995.
