OK, the bottle is mostly dry... at what point do I empty it out? We are going to try beeswax on this one, and order the brewers pitch for the next one, and see how both come out. Any tips when I'm doing it? And how do people treat the outside? Thanks all, for the advice! THis is why I love this place.

leather bottle question

I'm currently making my first leather bottle, and I was thinking of potting a simple "this is mine" design on it... should I do this before it is soaked and shaped, or will that distort the design too much? And if I do it after, how would I do it without mis-shaping the bottle? Also, what ...

I had a pair of the bazubands and they were awesome... fit and finish was spectacular. They did, however, get mangled over time. The forearms, specifically the right one, got dented up badly. I reshaped them several times.
I would definitely order them again in the future... but in 16ga.

I learned last year at Pennsic that if you talk smack to the opposing archers at the Wall battle, they just might end up being the queen of another kingdom. Hilarity ensues.

I'll have to get a picture of the blade... it's simply 2" rattan shaved down to 1 1/4" on the sides and at the tip. It has a low profile thrusting tip.

I get 2" rattan from HH Perkins.

Rattan seax and scabbard

So I recently made a new rattan seax and matching scabbard for one of our local guys. 2" rattan, shaped down. I decided not to use paints on this one... it is actually dyed. Here it is: [img]http://i249.photobucket.c...
