I've been fighting in Kings Lance maille for about 3 years now, with no repairs to it. It has held up well. I was pleased with the service, and the maille has served me well. I have had good dealings with Karl Von Sussen... I used to fight in his maille. My aventail is a welded maille aventail by Ma...

Ja, thats what I meant. Unless they specifically target my hand. Why would you take a gauntlet shot as "good"? You cannot _have_ a good shot to the hand. I think he means that he'll take it as a good shot because he blocked it "intentionally" with an illegal target. IE - target s...

I occasionlly punch a shot out of the air without thinking... If I intentionally block it with my gauntlet, I take it as a good shot. One problem I see with blocking with the basket, is that some take this as license to target the basket... not a good shot, but to eff up the geometry of the shot, or...

The general SCA culture seems to be if you throw light you are a wuss and if you don't take train wreck shots you are a wuss. It is wild how an already violent sport/hobby seeks to get more violent. It goes off a lyric... Hit me harder so that I know I am alive. It's a combat sport. Not a game of t...

Actually, it's a society wide experiment. We used them here at Winter War in the East without incident. I love the 2" tip... you don't have o put as much on it to get someone to take a shot. Requires a bit more control... but i think that's a good thing.
