I don't like fighting from knees, and I don't do it. But I would not sign the petition either. Lead by example. If enough people stop, it may change on it's own. If not... I still don't have to do it.

I fixed this problem two ways... one was the gambesoned cuisses, like you mentioned, and the other way was I stopped knee fighting... :wink:

Seriously, the construction knees till you get the cuisses done will prolly be your best bet.

My wife is looking for the merchant at Pennsic who was selling a reproduction of the Anglo-Saxon Lyre. I have found a couple of places on line, but not the one she's looking for. Anyone know who the merchant was?

Actually. the stars are the most important part, being the primary charge in the North's banner. As for putting it on a rondel, that was deliberate, as it was intended to be the badge for a group... my house within the SCA. If it's not going to work, it's not going to work, I can accept that. SCA Heraldry help

OK... I'm looking to blazon the following as a badge... just the round portion. It's drawn here as if it is on a round shield... that's why the edge is white. Just the round black center part, that's all the device is. I know I may have to tweak it slightly to make it work. Little help?

Gates of Fire was written by Steven Pressfield, not Charles Frazier, who was the author of Cold Mountain.

Pressfield has done several other Greek/Macedonian books, as well as Legend of Bagger Vance.

Started with a grinder, then brillo wheel, then wite wheel. Just took a bit at a time till I had the shape I wanted. Want one?

How did that second hammer work out for you anyway? I had a feeling it might hit better but still be too light.
