Why do you assume no Aethel-martians or Atlantians? Would make sense for the unbelts to be between East/Mid and Aethelmearc/Atlantia, they being the primary sides. That was what I immediately assumed. The unbelted champions should be intersting ... 1. no Aethel or Atlantians and 2. who will the East...

This song says a lot about it, I think. Having had those times when everything went all red and fuzzy, and had sections of battles were a complete blank... it can be a bit frightening. Eff, thanks. I'm looking at some upgrades, but they will be mostly unseen... changing up the body armour, arms, gauntlets, legs... will be looking for some trim for the tunic as well. Your Grace, I love the look with the helmet and the maille. Outstanding kit. http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...

Re: embroidered bands on viking tunics?
I think this statement is in error... my wife has done a pretty solid amount of research on the subject, and it seems they did... from decorative contrasting stitching to decorative embroidery. I can have her chip in here with some citations, if needs be. Olaf Sadly, Vikings didn't embroider. The Os...

Do a two battle a day setup... one set of battles in which your death is permanent, the rest like normal. Participation may not be as high in the one, but could still be interesting. Have to make sure scenarios allow for retreat, not a fight to the last man kind of thing. I wonder how tactics would ...

One of mine is finished with a blanket stitch withe a contrasting color, the other has decorative stitching around the edge.
One is a light/medium weight wool, the other is a blanket weight fulled wool that is almost impervious to water.
