34 I fought almost the whole time last year, (save down times for repairs) don't know how many fights, but I was definately tired. Ranked 52nd of 148, so middle road. It's a great experience. I'll be there a bit Saturday, but not fighting this year. Trying to recover from a bad winter. Rudolph

Bah! Either don't assume the skinny little spearman is easy to bowl over or ya better learn to land dude. This is in regards to SCA melee combat. I'm in the East... it's legal. Though this thread seems to be stirring up discussion as to whether it should be. It is not forbidden in The East. I have been using them for years on my Dane axes. I'd call it legal. You're not thrusting him, or feinting... you're using a part of your weapon to displace a shield. I can slam their shield with my shield or haft... but I can't slam their body with them. I see it as the same thing.

He's also my great-grand master too... sort of. My Peer is a Pelican... Master Harald was squired to Duke Randal before he became a Pelican.

One of my great Pennsic memories was watching Feral and Frieman perform 12th Century Blues after one of the Archive gatherings.

Well, I love the helmet. It's sexy, and pretty much bulletproof. It's probably a bit too large... but not horribly so. Definitely not enough to make me not wear it. :) It's gotten a HELL of a lot of compliments.
