We have a small practice on Thursday nights in Yamhill, we'd love to have you (but let me before hand to be sure someone is there).

There is also a really good practice in Vancouver (Barony of Stromgard). It's a bit more of a drive, but worth it.

Rawhide is too rough for my delicate hands.

Downloaded Gspot, it says I need MPEG-2 codec, I have downloaded and attempted to install a couple of these, still get same error message and Gspot still says I dont have the codec.

Have you ever thought about rivetting the bars to the inside of the cheekplates instead of the outside? That, and painting or blueing the bars black would do a lot in my opinion.

a little OT, but what's the best way of getting all the tape sticky off a stainless helm after it's been beaten a few too many times? after all, you can't even get a satin finish if it's covered in glue... No sports here. (Ok, I played basketball in the 7th grade, but we sucked... and I was the worst player on the team).

I did do some traditional martial arts after I got out of HS and I was a REMF in the Army for 6 years, but other then that SCA fighting has been it for me.
