Same here. Bought both DIY supplies and later a shirt and camail from him. Top notch product, communication and very speedy delivery. Would definitely do business with him again.

Rivet a strip of leather to the inside and hang a camail off of it.

Worked great for mine.

Rivetting a strip of leather inside your helmet kills the ring as well. My helmet used to ring like a bell, but when I put the leather in to hang my new camail off it totally deadened the sound.

Rawhide DOES stiffen the sword. Rawhide swords hit significantly harder then normal. I dont have a problem with them, as long as the user is aware of these things. They do enable you to use lighter weight rattan and still get good force and much longer sword life. Cedric (Also from An Tir - I've bee...

Yeah, expect lots of rain.. oh and remember to pay attention to where you drop your helmet between battles. The one GW I made it to I set my stuff down in a pile of fire ants and barely noticed before I had it on my head. BAD IDEA!

Awesome event, badass ants.

I agree, Forth Armory is the place to go. I got tons of compliments on my new shirt and camail at Estrella War, even though most of the time it was covered by a kingdom war tabard. Great product and top notch business practices. Price may be a bit high, but you get what you pay for. Awesome stuff.

I agree, the leather edging really makes it look finished. I wish I had taken the time to do that with my set. One word of caution about the shoulders, if your are too long, using a band of plates over the shoulders can be fairly restrictive. Curving the plates so they dont get driven straight into ...

Review: Forth Armoury

Well, after months of saving, followed by more months of waiting my patience has finally paid off. The shirt fits me incredibly well and...
