As I have said before though, I dont like swollen ankles (I work on my feet.. heh). I would like to get something more appropriate and have looked at boh...

I have to disagree with you. Combat boots do provide ankle support, despite what you may think. Maybe not as much as good hiking boots, but definitely more then tennis shoes (I have never worn turnshoes so cant speak to that). I have the weakest ankles on the planet.. I have turned my ankle walking ...

I would find another way. I get paid fairly well to deal with that stuff, otherwise I wouldnt come within a mile of it. Even if I DID feel confident with it to want to play around with in my garage I would never consider suggesting someone else do it. Hydroflouric Acid is not something anyone should...

Yeah.. exactly. I should know, I've hand poured 49% stuff for years, and I had a manager who was missing two fingers from picking up a contaminated rag that someone put in the wrong trash can.

Definitely not something to play around with.

I just wish we could get rid of the annoying SCA habit of putting duct tape on helmets to show what side you are on or whether you have been inspected or not.

Grinding on a sword blank with a 7" disc grinder... released the On switch and bent down to look at my work. When I did that, I rested the (still spinning) grinder against the side of my knee. Luckily the damage was mainly cosmetic, could have been much worse.

Speaking in my professional capacity as a Ladder Safety Instructor, I must say: Get a new ladder. Seriously. Having watched that video at least 20+ times I have never seen anything remotely illegal in Duke Logan's actions.

Sure, he was obviously upset, he maybe didnt handle the situation in the best manner.. but he did nothing wrong as far as I could tell.
