I have to disagree with you. Combat boots do provide ankle support, despite what you may think. Maybe not as much as good hiking boots, but definitely more then tennis shoes (I have never worn turnshoes so cant speak to that). I have the weakest ankles on the planet.. I would find another way. I get paid fairly well to deal with that stuff, otherwise I wouldnt come within a mile of it.
