I would say that the Bascinet is NOT the most worn helmet in An Tir at least... but then we got a lot of Norse types here. Personally, I think the look like crap without a visor on them, and I wouldnt want to fight in one WITH a visor on it. I think maybe one person wore one to our local practice on...

I took a gauntlet making class from him at an event this summer.. he told us that he can reinforce them with thin plastic to make them protective enough for use with great weapons. His Polearm gauntlets do provide enough protection on their own, thats kinda why I asked which ones you were lookin to ...

Yup, those are the ones I use. They're not really enough protection on they're own, I use a d-ring kinda thing on my sword tho and they are great for that.

I think the pattern came from Manfred, thats what I remember Rolf saying anyways...

Well, yeah, but its not a spangen helm.

You can get good looking Bacinets from a lot of places... but I have found VERY few people that can make a spangen look as nice as WMA.
