As an old 2-sticker I would have to agree with the thrust comment. The thrust is the hardest shot in the world to block when fighting 2-swords.

Check out one of those mashall gauges... I have had swords bounced from tourneys before because of what you are suggesting (rounded the edges too much - even tho sword was 1 1/4 thick down entire length the actual striking surface wasnt). I am Not a Marshall.. but I dont think what you are suggestin...

They calibrate a bit, then restart. Entire rest of the fight the second guys is all "light, tippy, light" through the whole thing. H...

Personally I would rather be hit with a hard blow then a light one.

Hard shots there is no question of whether you have been hit or not. Im kinda lazy I guess, I would rather my opponents make my job (determining when Im dead) easier.

I think that grabbing spears and taking them away is perfectly acceptable. Purposefully attempting to break someone else's property though is inexcusable however.

I also think that people who intentionally step on arrows to break them are assholes too...

The Noble Plastic stuff does look nice. I wear black plastic legs (under pants if at an event - I dont usually bother for practice cause I dont want my fighting pants torn up by kneeling on concrete). I have had people seriously ask me if ALL of the leg armor was leather, or were the knees plastic (...

I have to agree. The highly polished stuff is too expensive (and flashy) for my tastes, but I would be much more likely to purchase (and recommend) your armor with a normal finish and reduced pricing.

Im currently fighting in plastic leg armor, the knees of which were I believe Injection molded (Something like that). They look to be indestructible. Exactly. That is the whole point of having glancing surfaces.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing everything you can to make sure your opponents blows dont kill you (without breaking any rules of course). I would love to fight anyone who doesnt agree with that.

I use a fiberglass bow. I cut it so that the bow goes down the entire length of the back of the shield.
