Well, I know two people who bought helmets from him and were unsatisfied. One guy returned it months ago for rework and has not heard back since, the other bought a "stormking" helmet from him (made to his measurements) and can BARELY squeeze his head into it the neck hole is so small. --- Looking a...

I dont know... having worn articulated metal knees to fight in for over ten years I personally think the shots that hurt the LEAST are the ones that hit the knee. Its the best armored part of the whole leg. Those back of the calf shots that make a knot the size of a baseball? Those are the ones that...

There is a guy in my household that for the first two+ years that he fought could NOT control a leg shot. Every time he was on his knees, he would shoot a leg shot in right under the point of his opponents shield - even if that made the shot go into your ankle. We call him Shinbiter. Two or three ti...

My gambeson is totally open at the armpit.. the sleeves only go down to my elbows and are only really closed at the very ends of the sleeves. This lets more air get to my armpits, which really seems to help. Also, when I am overheating I like to pour water directly over my head and down the inside o...

Something else these guys havent mentioned: If you are going to try this, make sure your armor provides adequate protection. No-one collects bruises faster then a two-sticker. With sword and shield, most of the shots that hit you are in the thigh, the forearm or the helmet. With two swords your body...
