Give him some time, my experience with Mr Peters suggests that he WILL make good on his debts (he even settled with me after things between us got fairly ugly). Keep your cool, and be patient. He's not the most punctual person in the world to deal with, but hes not a thief. You will get what you pai...

Ok... here are some thoughts: The sword madu(GS) combo gives your opponent a long distance range attack (stab with bottom point). Until you can get into sword range this is the primary thing you should worry about. Keep your gaurd really tight as you close quickly into range.. most madu fighters wil...

Best Estrella ever (for me anyways)... Only bad thing was the rain, but our tent was on high enough ground that the water just barely started seeping up through the ground (other people had 2-3' of water in their tents). I ended up rigging up my bed off the ground using 3 9' spears, and a couple of ...

Ok, final count: Aluminum plates 185 Brass plates 100 not really enough to do anything with on their own but would be enough to do a lamellar chest piece if used together (would look good too I think). 285 plates .30 each ---------- $85 total If anybody is interested in these I will be camped in the...

Birka style Lamellar Plates for sale at Estrella!
Ok, I need money to eat at the war... and I have a small supply of aluminum and brass lamellar plates leftover from previous AA purchases. I need to get rid of this and will take them to Estrella with me.. I think I paid .35 cents apiece for them plus shipping. I will sell either aluminum or brass p...

1.How did you start out? My brother dragged me kicking and screaming into the SCA... I started fighting in the canton of MdR (cant pronounce or spell it) in the Barony of Darkwood, Kingdom of the West. Since I was a poor army guy at the time I fought in my brothers hand me downs and whatever I could...

What time/country/region? "Medieval Times" covers 1000 years and a lot of different countries so its kind of hard to give you what you want without knowing more. That being said, in general... I would say the Eyes would be a big one (hard to see without having your eyes exposed). Backsides of joints...

My wife absolutely refuses to use moving blankets to make gambesons. She did one once for a household member who had one in real good condition but whatever they use for filling in the moving blanket really tore up her machine and was hard on needles as well. Think she said that they use wood fragme...

See, that wasnt so hard. The reason that I asked for an SCA name was due to his dancing act whenever anyone asked who he was. SCA names are fantasy, but with them it is possible to find who the real person is.. it kind of sucks but people here have been burned too many times by shady armourers to ju...
