The Frisian with chainmaile is damned sexy. And I really like the piercework on the breastplates.

Good job, you are expanding into new designs and improving on old standbys.

And still one of the very top armorers to do business with.

I fully understand what you are saying. I have a similar stance in the "Ansteorran Boxer Stance" that I intend to make a video of. Keeping the elbows tucked in and not letting the forearm drift out so it is an easy target is a major importance. I don't stand as tight as you do in the video...

I think klapvisors are more suited to our form of combat than pigfaces. We can't "slip" shots to the face like in reality and that front angle can really block the vision. In a game where the armor you wear really doesn't matter, not being able to see low-lying shots can be a real detrimen...

I mentioned this in the other thread. I might do a video on throwing cross-body shots. I'm not nearly the level of the illuminaries you desire but I'm pretty much known for that technique at least.

I don't know, I seem to do okay with them.

But I think my new swords are a bit under 36" now.

The fishbat is pretty thick but for some reason doesn't hit particularly hard. I make up for it though.

When I lose focus, before or during a fight, I have found that focussing on my opponent's collarbone will center my mind. You start relying on peripherial vision to pick up movement and strikes and you get rid of distractions. It's weird, but it works for me.

So if I have been waiting a year for a set of vambraces I ordered, and ya'll have a set in stock, what are the chances that I might get a set of vambraces?? I was thinking the same thing. I'm tempted to order the Corrazina kit and make it myself since it looks like I'll never get the suit I ordered.

The centergrip heater just arrived from Windrose Armory. It still needs to be edged so I won't be fighting with it for a couple of days. Center grip heaters?

I've been thinking of getting a center grip heater like I've been seeing around. Not many people use centergrips in Ansteorra, saving a couple of round shields. Looking at the Windrose site a 24" x 30" heater with a centergrip and boss weighs in around 11 lbs. This seems a bit much or is i...

I think we are doing a pretty good job of balancing out blow-calling more towards the armor the SCA is transitioning to, mainly the 14th - 15th century transitional. Although some kingdoms call a bit harder and some lighter than that. And our use of swords against this armor is a bit unrealistic but...

A couple of notes. Yes, the Crown gets $1500 for a reign but that is for the entire reign and all espenses. If you have to pay for storage for the kingdom trailer, it comes out of that.
