Oh great, Matty's coming to play with us 14th centry mafioso types.
Now we're all going to look like paltry serfs and pale in comparison to his sheer awesomeness.

I'll try to get more specific information as to the exact measurements later tonight. What is the purpose of this? Is is functional, or just decorative? In period or out? In period it was used to deflect thrusts away from a joint or opening. In an SCA sense, I'm guessing it'll be more of a decorativ...

Amazing, thank you Bleddyn!

Interesting note, in the below picture many of the klappvisors and hounskull visors have breath holes on both sides, as opposed to just the right side.

WTB - stoprib

This is probably an odd little purchase, but:
I'm l looking to purchase a stainless stoprib to mount on my breastplate.
I'm thinking dimensions are roughly 5" x .5" per side.

Very cool, thanks Bleddyn. I also like how the same fellow has the aketon with the slit for his scabbard.
Also, on his helm, it's hard to make out at that resolution but on the side is that the hinge for a detachable visor?

Looking to make a maille standard and was hoping one of you folks have a nice 5" x 14" -ish length laying around? I'd prefer stainless but mild is fine too.

I found a bag of lamellar in my storage space when I was cleaning it out this weekend.
It has approximately 110 aluminum plates from Eldesar Armoury and about 10 (stainless) from White Mountain Armoury.
