Warhammer and Warhammer 40k figures wanted

Anybody have anything they want to let go for a decent price? Space marine squads/Empire are preferred but I'll entertain others.

PM me.

Thanks for all the kind words, folks, and apologies on my delay in responding, as I'm going through a change of residence so computer time is limited. Is the maille riveted? Nope, just a butted shirt I bought off of Ebay. I haven't fought in it yet, but I was hoping with the chest protection I'd hav...

Finally, my finished kit!

I thought I'd share a few pics of my finished kit, as I'm rather proud of it. It's loosely based on a 6th century Romano-Brit kit, used to fight SCA heavy combat, so certain liberties were taken at the sacrifice of authenticity. My thanks to Windrose Armoury for the helm, Adam for the lamellar plate...

It's too bad you have to give it up, Guillaume, for that is one hell of a kit. Of course, it's Mykaru's work, so it's always exceptional but you get my point.
Sorry to hear you have to part with it and I'll mention it around at fighter practice ...

Propylene glycol is used in fog machines (i.e. clubs and music shows) and I've been told a serious cleaning with soap and water will eradicate the chemical from the barrel.

pickle barrel cuisses covered in quilted fabric from a fabric store. makes them look like padded cuisses. Drill holes and use brass speed rivets, makes great Faux studs. Pickle barrel splint vambracers with quilted fabric covering, same as above. Irish, do you have any pics of these? If so, I'd lov...

Hey Animal -- what kind of lamellar is Minimal wearing in the above pic, Noble maybe? When I saw him at Pennsic XXX, he had leather and plate torso protection, if memory serves.

I lace the body section of mine fairly tight. It's not like I move very much anyway. But the arms and legs I lace so they can overlap on each other if need be. They work real well and allow total freedom of motion for me. Animal, you have to stop talking about your damn kit and show us some picture...

Etching brass?

I was curious how one goes about acid-etching, or any other type of etching for that matter, on brass? I have a couple of pieces I want to add to my helm and spaulders but I'm not sure how to go about the etching process. Is it hard? Does it require a large investment in products to do so? Thanks in...

My own knight got to be the legend he is by doing 1000 shots a day on the pell. He's also a proponent of a soft pell to protect your joints. I think pell practice is something that should be built up slowly to prevent injury. Give your joints time to adapt to the stresses of pell work. Gaston Indee...

Buy some boiled wool /felted wool and you don't even have to hem them. A 1/2 yard of wool at the typical 60' width is enough for a pair. Cut into four strips of 4" wide x 60" long. Sew 2 lengths together to create two strips at 4" x 120". It is better if the wool is a little stretchy. Canvas is a p...
