WTB - Brigandine neck plates

Might seem like an odd request but I was hoping there was someone that might have aluminum or stainless plates for a brigandine gorget.
I can do the leatherwork myself, I simply need the plates.

Splinted Cuisses usage dates?

I'm moving my kit from 1340's to as late as I can in the 14th century, so I was wondering how late I could get away with my splinted quisses? Eventually I'll have to switch out but, for now, just wondering. I looked at Galfrid's effigies but I'm starting to go a little cross-eyed after a half an hou...

I use leather ones and love 'em. I wear buckled leather ones and love 'em. No issues, no problems. How wide/long are your leather ones? (A pic would be helpful as well) Off the top of my head I'd say 5/8" wide and about 12" long. This provides about 3" of "hang" when it's b...

Suzerain, your apologies are completely unnecessary, as it seems as though you've provided me a veritable treatise to ponder over! I base my persona on late 14th (1380-1400) English, so I'm not sure if I'm again being too broad or is that helps narrow it down a bit more. I'm going to reread your res...

Longsword lengths?

What's a good, standard length for a 14th century longsword? I want my SCA weapon to be more along the lines of a typical longsword length but I'm unsure as to what length best constitutes this. Also, the longsword is, for all intents an purposes, a hand-and-half- sword, yes? These may seem like ove...

I just got my greaves in from Mikael at Hammerbreaker. Whoa. Pardon the Keanu Reeves moment but that's exactly what I said when I opened the box.
