I just ward to give you props and say yes you look much better ! It really changes the feel of your kit from the other pics I have seen before Uther Thanks Your Grace! AA Review: Andrea Ferrea and Ice Falcon, Brigandine
In order to improve the look of my kit, I purchased from Andrea Ferrea a new Ice Falcon Brigandine jack. Solely for appearance's sake...I figure if I'm going to be bodyguarding my king at Pennsic this year, I should look the part of a professional soldier! This is going to be a dual review: the tran...

Re: AA Review: Finger Bucklers by Allan of Mercenary's Tail
UPDATE: PERFORMANCE REVIEW This weekend I got to fight with my new finger bucklers in tournament and melee. First I fought a greatsword duel, and I took a good stout shot right on the finger bucklers, just to see how well they worked. The 5.5" finger buckler dispersed the force all across the back o...

Re: WTB light(er) legs
I wear hidden leg armor made by Sir Haroun, and it rocks! It is very protective, lightweight, and cheaper than it should be. An AA search should unearth that thread where you can get in the queue if you like.
Good luck.

Re: Greatsword footage.
I'm not sure how this thread devolved into a "my dad can beat up your dad" kind of thing, but I wish it would stop. We've completely derailed Vitus' thread, and nobody is posting new footage of greatswords. OK, so we did derail this a wee bit, but any derail that results in guys agreeing to meet an...

I've got some nice aircraft aluminum gauntlets with an enclosed thumb (the thumb looks to be made of steel), that I'd be willing to sell. They are strapped but I just wear street hockey gloves underneath them. Here is a picture of them in action: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/...

Ok, so in addition to all the cool reasons to go, that people wrote in my Pennsic thread, we'll get to meet and have some seriously unforgettable greatsword fights?
Right, that closes the sale, then. I'm going to Pennsic!

Dietrich, I was going through your videos, and I really like the "C-shot of Doom". What do you target when you fight a right handed fighter? Do you have any better videos? Thanks Mark! Surprisingly, that seems to work fairly consistently even against guys who have seen it, because with the control ...

The swimming holes are nasty and one is populated by fat skeevy nakid people. There is a nice state park right off site with shower and ice cream if you really are into swimming in a lake. HAHA, I've been doing SCA for years now, I probably should have seen that coming! It's also somewhat funny tha...

Well, I see Woeg beat me to it, but I don't think you can have too many glowing reviews... Yesterday I got home from work to see that my new finger bucklers had arrived. Excellent workmanship, with not onl leather straps to fasten them tight but also padding in the middle to absorb some more of the ...

Lucas, heh, you know me, I am all about the fighting. Considering purchase of Finger Bucklers for SCA Heavy
This weekend in a steel longsword tournament I used finger bucklers over my gloves for the first time, and kinda liked them!
Who here makes finger bucklers, how much do you charge, and how about some pictures?
Thanks in advance!

Greetings Dolan and welcome to the Archive. What kingdom are you in? In some kingdoms/regions knee-to-chest heater shields are the norm, while...
