taken of my website and modified a bit. GRINDING AND POWER SANDING: DON'T BREATH THE DUST. if you will be sanding/grinding it. please use a breather or a high volume fan pointed at the sander/grinder. I dont think alum itself is that poisonous but the metals alloyed in it definitely are very bad for...

hi the two broken neck bones happerned at eastella. he is fine and fighting these days. most likely from falling onto his back and the huge outjutting helm plate on the back of a japanese/rastafarian braided helm thingy snapped his neck forward when it acted as a lever between his neck and the ground.

hi there
did they have a makers mark?
could be mine if they looked like this:
http://tiarmour.com/price%20list%20Ti%20legs.htm
they would still easily retain their value.

an tir calls the whole head. there is no face only and turning your head does no good except gets the side of your head blasted... which is well deserved. the face touch rules have not changed our kingdom's wars one bit.. we have safe helms and if you dont have one... then you learn to get one darn ...

darn good thread.... the directed touch kingdoms seem to have some hecka wimpy helm padding techiniues. 1/2 of blue camper foam or any foam for that matter will not protect your skull from repeated impacts let alone a hard thrust to the face. we may currently have directed touch but accidents happen...

FOLKS THERE IS LITTLE PERSONAL RESPONCIBILITY IN THE CURRENT SCA. that being said you can blame the rules and blame the weapons but the truth is the people are being injured by people. those injuring them need to be held accountable. there is currently little control and accountability on the field ...

wow I have been ignoring this thread... a big mistake. Hi I was rather fond of the peasants battle two pennsics ago. it really let the nonfighters have some fun and after the battle was over we attacked the peasants with their own ammo. if you wanted to dance in the peasants line of fire you could otherwise stick to the middle. was funny to see a 20 man...

What does Ti weigh compared to aluminum and stainless? How thick do you need to go to get the same protection? Markus, are you happy with the thickness on your new breastplate? How is it holding up. hi there I have made four Ti shields. the metal runs around $100 bucks. more expensive if you get it off the net at titanium joe. the weight is about 8 1/2 to 11lbs depending on the gauge and alloy. they are rolled slightly and all develop a twist which if twisted the right way is better than not tw...
