well how did the jigsaw go?

you can get .050 Ti from titaniumjoe.com.

.071 is very thick for armour. to work that guage by hand is very difficult. even hot it will be a chore.

it will roll with effort though.

I do believe that you could use .050" thickness for the parts which are normally .0625" in mild steel, and .040" for those which are normally 18G mild steel (lames). bwahahahahaa .060 is thick for a ti shield if made correctly. my current two are .040 al6-4v a slight curve will help stiffen it up. re-enforcing strips also reduce the flexibility.
