hi

my 8" jet bench grinder worked throughout 12 years of armouring...
five of which were production armouring.

hi there way back I forged some Ti. it took about 13- 18 heats to white hot until I could break it with my fingers. it does lose strength but not that much if you are careful. it loves to be worked warm... under 400 degrees or so it wont pick up any contaminants thatw ill weaken it. very fun stuff t...

bah if you want a mirror dont use sand you will be very dissapointed. maybe some kind of powdered white polish might work? takes some heavy pressure to get the grey xide coating they put on the sheets of Ti off. chain is dangerous to polish with a wheel. probably the best/worst way to get it to mirr...

I use used floor buffing wheels cut into fourths.

works great. they are looser and need to have black added to the wheel.

since they are used they are usually free ;)

hmmm there are many who get a kick out of jacking the system. the "I saw it once so its period crowd" . the worse are the flourescent color folks who say its documentable. most of this kind of mentality comes from the artsy crowd and the fighters just pick it by exposure. might be a little off topic...

after you have spent some time working 12ga stainless 14 ga seems soft.

same goes for Ti. lighter gauges are easy to shape until you hit 22 ga.

hi

this last estrella war I blocked a head shot and it snapped my fiberglass spear like a tooth pick.

if you block a hard shot with them they will break. I have broken about five+ over time.

I would asume the cold makes them more prone to being brittle?
