So we seem to agree with Parlan...it's a training issue. no "we" do not agree its an issue of leverage and weight. even the most skilled of spearman hits too hard sometimes. moch more often than a nine. Edit: Morgan just said the same thing in the post above mine, and said it better My interpretation of the physics of Sir Markus' post: The increased length of the spear means that gravity has additional leverage to work with. This makes the spear harder to hold parallel to the ground when holding i...

I thought the wicker and shit comment rocked but didnt go further with it incase this was a serious topic. This is a newbie question, but I just don't see how someone can hit you so much harder with a 12', more flexible spear than with a 9', more rigid spear. Sure, there's 3 extra feet of rattan mass into the blow, but the shaft will flex more... Am I looking at the physics wrong? Also, isn't it normal ...

So, why not let us 12's have our fun? We are less of a threat because there are only a very few per side. We are safe as a 9' if we know what we are doing (and I do). If you want battles that are more close up then have battles that have a 6' or 7.5' rule. Those battles are great too but they are n...
