These are guys in Russia (and a few other former USSR republics I believe -- sasa would probably know more about them) While most portray early-period Rus and vikings, there are quite a few Poles, and several european knights (did you see the guy with wings on the greathelm?!) In terms of injuries -...

IN THE EYESLOT??? http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/smile.gif I like. If you insist on constructive criticism, the gauntlets are indeed a bit weird, and the rearbraces seem slightly off to me -- perhaps too deep, I don't think I've seen the "ears" you drew for the leather strap. Or do you have eviden...

Back to the historical aspect -- Sir Rhys, there's a lengthy description of tournaments during Wiliam Marshal's time in "The Flower of Chivalry" which I am sure you are familiar with. Would you say it is accurate? If no, what part's off? By the way, I would reccomend this book to everyone interested...

The guy who made the mask is supremely good! I love that thing. My roommate (a proffesional illustrator) looked at it and said, "a sculptor made it"! I was wondering about the conical too, though.. I was wondering about that -- what in the world gives them the right to confiscate the weapons? They don't pass, so I won't use them -- but they are still mine.

I had the same thing happen with my glaive, found it in lost and found on Sunday.

Hi Tim, I think if you have pictures of the Frojel plates, you should make those for the Viking rig. The Khazar plates were found a long way off from Frojel, and are dated 2 centuries earlier if you are speaking of the 11th century heart-shaped fittings found in Bro Parish. I am not sure what would ...

It's really quite simple.. if it hits you with enough force, and with a striking edge/thrusting tip, it's good.

If it hits you weakly, or with something other than a striking edge/thrusting tip, it's not good.

It doesn't matter where it was before contact.

My initial reaction was "I don't care how many times you tap me" (we have a positive force rule in the West), but upon reading Jasper's clarification of the scenario --take the second if not the first. It's pretty obvious the spearman could've blown the other guy's head off. I've "taken" a spear sim...
