Can't go wrong with Alban.
RQP is good if you are looking for cheap but decent-looking, and fast. Great customer service. Alban's stuff is in a different category, though, quality-wise.
Congrats on a squire, Guy!

Caid has a couple of pockets of really heavy hitters, but has overall average calibration in war. The war vs tournament calibration is impressively different (tournament and singles are significantly lighter, Orkneys and associates excepted). West has gotten lighter both in throwing and in taking, p...

Zweihammer website under construction
Greetings, This is just to let everyone know that we are currently doing a bottom-up redesign of the Zweihammer website, so currently a lot of content is missing or fake placeholders. Please bear with us, and email Erick ( armourer -at- zweihammer.com ) with any questions, orders, etc. We will let y...

West Crown results
October Crown was won by Duke Uther Shiemann der Hount, fighting for his lady Kara Bareksdottir (not sure on the spelling, lots of accent marks). Finals were against Duke Matthias von Lewenburg, fighting for Sir Bryne Maclelland. Duke Hauoc and Sir Titus in the semifinals. Uther just came back from ...

Allen, I played with a Binns sword at the same time I got the one I am modifying (the Binns wasn't for sale...) and it's a world of difference in the handling and balance. The Binns sword pommel is about 3 times bigger. Wolf -- you are totally right!!!! Would buy one in a heart beat, if I could find...

How to modify the "Practical Viking" sword
I will be going to a blunt steel event soon, and acquired a "practical viking" sword for that purpose (one like this: m ). Sadly, its balance is fairly horrid, the balance point being about a foot in front of the guard. I am thinking about adding a wire wrap to the handle in order to move it back at...
