I didn't order one of these, but I got my tall boots from them, and they came as soon as they had some in stock. This was a few months after my order, but they did come. When I ordered some books, those came *instantly*. Unfortunately one just can't guess how long any given package will be delayed a...

Ahriman, you don't fight like we do... in our game, a full-powered strike to the head (for example) is not an accident, it's expected. We put dents in 2mm helmets.. some armor requirements are kind of essential . I've tried some steel fighting the Jomsvkings do, it's fun, fast, and waaaay lighter th...

Because I am not in a back alley? ;-)

Dagger fights without wrestling techniques are kind of silly, I think..

(btw, if you weren't really asking why but trying to make a snide comment about giving up an earned advantage -- I am not giving it up, I am just giving the guy a sporting chance).

Artus asked if he will be able to transfer paypal to e-gold. I don't think so. Paypal works by moving money around between actual bank accounts. You can keep a balance on paypal, or you can move it to your real-world bank account as soon as you receive it. Since e-gold is *not* a bank, and does not ...

You only need to pad the bowl part of the helmet. With a proper chinstrap, the area that is covered by bars does not need to be padded.

[comment to Justin deleted since it is no longer relevant... ] Duke Logan -- I agree that the touch rule is stupid, and the thrust is often used as a crutch -- which is why I always advise beginners to avoid putting one on until they reach a certain amount of competence with the blade. How hard is engraving?

Kind of a silly question, I know.. how hard is it for someone who is generally good with tools and very artistic to pick up engraving? How much do the basic tools run, and do you have to get something specialized or will a couple dremmel attachments and other assorted basic tools suffice? Thanks -Dm...

Animal, you are just saying that to get a rise out of people... tsk tsk tsk. BdeB -- we had that happen in the West a year or two ago. At first lots of people were all up in arms about it, but then they learned to block, so it isn't a big deal anymore. Just another tool, just another shot... -D

Sir Axel, that a very clear illustration of the technique! Quite close to what I do. A question for you -- how often do you actually manage to push the opponent's sword to the ground? You don't have to cut the channeling for a round shield, actually. Fix one end of it in place and then bend it onto the edge of the shield, going a small step at a time. Hammer out the wrinkles on the sides as you go. Don't try to bend too much at once.
