Construction 3. Design flaw noted and fixed 4. Reported injuries 5. Testing by Marshals 1. overall desi...

Trotman still has the European Arms and Armour through 7 centuries by Laking. Less than 25 copies at 375 pounds I believe. Around 700 us to get it on your doorstep.

I can't wait for mine to get here :-)

I think that the problem lies in a consensus at a kingdom level about what the acceptable risk is to the combatant. Some kingdoms think that the occasional broken arm, ribcage, leg, ankle is all well and good and perfectly acceptable. Others feel that broken bones should NEVER happen and that an inv...

Ok.. I am now confused...

I thought that the lentner was an over armour covering styled like a jupon with wasp waist that was helped by having the breastplate underneath. Then a thin jupon/gambeson underneath that.

or do I need to hit the books again?

Hey Templar Bob,

I thought that the Jupon went on under the breastplate but over the chain and that the lentner went over everything. with BIG sleeves at the shoulder and elbows but tightening down at the mid forearm.

Molybdenum If you have ever been on a mid to high end mountain bike you've already played with it. Or at least an alloy of it. Chromoly is one of the more popular bike frame materials, a mixture of steel and molybdenum. This material should be fairly available (in alloy form) at a not to prohibitive...

Also will look up for more info when I get my Laking books. I am assuming that there will be some in there.

I also can pull some notes out of the Wallace books on spears, but the problem is that most of them are mounted on modern hafts

Spring Steel for Helms

I am getting a new helm and have a new debate in my mind.

Is spring steel going to be too light to fight in?
