ok
pretty much any spangen top will work I think I can use down to 24 guage to do what I want to do. Just need the top and possibly a nasal. want that prototypical "viking helmet with horns" look, without the horns.

Just saw the Nissan Frontier truck commercial and lo and behold. A helm that looks remarkably UGO ish. might have been Merlin's as far as I could see... anyone else see it?

Actually Tybolt. The rule in An Tir is that you can't POWER through 90 degrees. get some Kayak seat foam. It can run up to 3 inches thick in neoprene foam. You can make any shape you want

I'll ask Sir Aethelred the next time I see him (same practice) but I am willing to bet that he says yeah under the premise that as long as the rule book doesn't right out ban it, he'll generally allow it.

Anodizing aluminum can be done at home... it's not generally a great thing to do... but it can be done. Look around at some Car Repair forums and their might be something.

I know I have seen an article about anodizing from car geeks.

I would like to note that this bwiggins guy has made a HUGE improvement in his desriptions of armour. Taking out the SCA on 18 gauge and lighter stuff. And adding in those auctions that SCA requires 16 gauge.
